Well, as modern technology makes life more and more convenient, it was only a matter of time that they introduced the Bridal Diaper.... Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed....something stinks. In recent months, there has been increased internet chatter revolving around a "new" bridal fashion trend: The Bridal Diaper, an adult-diaper that creates an easier alternative to taking a pee-break during your wedding day. Some report that dress-makers can provide you with one that matches your dress. Others say you can get them with your name or initials embroidered.
Although the concept of one of these things is truly gross (imagine the garter removal, the intimate "removing of the diaper" on your first night together, or seeing the bride tear up during her vows....is she crying or straining???), I have yet to hear from a bride who actually owns one or has heard of anyone using one. The truth is, as far as I have been able to research, the "Bridal Diaper" is just a myth, an urban legend that tends to get a few laughs. Upon researching the internet, I wasn't able to find one retailer selling this product. In searching local Michigan Wedding dealers, I came up empty as well. Ultimately, any bride can buy Depends, put them on and call it a "Bridal Diaper." If you have used one of these, please my apologies! But due to the increased chatter about these diapers across the web in recent months, don't be surprised if they do pop up on some internet stores or novelty shops. So what's your opinion of Bridal Diapers? Post your comments below!!
